Pratitya-essence mantra
From LabelingThoughts
The pratitya-essence mantra is this in Sanskrit:
OM YE DHARMA HETU-PRABHAVA HETUM TESHAM TATHAGATO HYAVADAT TESHAM CHA YO NIRODHA EVAM VADI MAHASHRAMANAH SVAHA
According the the Nalanda Translation Committee, this mantra is a summary of the teachings of the Buddha and of the pratityasamutpada teachings on dependent arising in particular.
Translation
The Nalanda Translation Committee on the Shambhala web site translates the mantra as "Regarding dharmas that arise from a cause, the Tathagata taught their cause and also their cessation. Those were the words of the Great Mendicant." and describe it as part of a conversation between Shariputra and Assaji and that the "Great Mendicant" is a name for the Gautama Buddha.
Another translation, most likely from either Ari Goldfield or Jim Scott, renders it as "All phenomena arise from causes. / These causes were taught by the Tathagatha. / The cessation of these causes / was taught by the great Virtuous One."
