Nagarjuna
From LabelingThoughts
Nagarjuna was a famous Buddhist scholar in India in the second and third centuries. Little is known about his life; his biographies were written much later and include fantastical stories. Some say that he lived much longer, for many hundreds of years.
The madhyamaka movements of Mahāyāna Buddhism is attributed to him. His most well known work is the Mūlamadhyamaka-kārikā, rendered in English roughly as "Fundamental Verses of the Middle Way."
