Migrators was a calque used by the Sakyong to talk about sentient beings in the 1999 seminary. In Tibetan, human beings are described as goers or migrators because we constant travel from experience to experience looking for external happiness. This is in contrast to an approach based in the dharma which cautions that happiness is not to be found from external phenomena.
