Drup is a Tibetan term for "practice" as in the various kinds of meditation practices. This term or its related terms are not typically used in Shambhala, but you may encounter it if practicing with a cousin lineage. You'll more often see it used in related compound words such as:
- Drupdra (wylie: sgrub grwa) - a retreat center, where the focus is meditation practice
- Drupchen - a full group sadhana practice period
- Druppak (wylie: sgrub phug) - a retreat cave
