Dharma is a Sanskrit term that means truth or reality or natural law. The term is overloaded and used in a few different ways. It can mean the teachings of Buddhism or simply teachings, it can mean phenomenon, or simply what is true about reality. In the traditional Buddhist refuge vow it is the second thing that practitioners take refuge after the Buddha.
