Khorwa

Khorwa is a Tibetan term for the Sanskrit word samsara. Khorwa literally refers to the circular nature of samsara, of endlessly doing the same things over and over expecting a different result or looking for happiness to arise if we just try one more time. In another presentation, it is short for the longer phrase khorwa du ngel gyi gyamtso meaning the ocean of suffering where we go round and round.
This is a similar notion to the Tibetan term drowa for sentient beings, which could be translated literally as migrators.
